DAY 1: Arrive Dedham for overnight.
Dedham is a thriving village with many beautiful
houses, and good shops and restaurants and the Church of St. Mary the Virgin, with its Constable painting on permanent display.
DAY 2: Riverside walk
Riverside walk alongside the Stour to Flatford Mill, immortalised by John Constable. Continue to East Bergholt, the birthplace of the artist, before returning to Dedham for overnight. 7 miles.
DAY 3: Village walk
Walk to include the beautiful villages of Stoke-by-Nayland and Nayland, where a copy of one of Constable's paintings is to be seen in its original setting. Overnight Nayland.
DAY 4: departure.
An additional night and circular walk is available at Nayland.
