William Morris famously called Bibury 'the most beautiful village in England'; and, with picturesque Arlington Row and the stream running through the village, it certainly presents an image of rural perfection.
We offer a two night break at atmospheric Bibury Court Hotel (with restaurant awarded 'Cotswold Life Restaurant of the Year' in 2007) in the heart of the village, to include two breakfasts, two three course dinners and two self-guided walks with route notes and maps.
Itinerary
Day 1:
Arrive Bibury Court in a secluded position in the heart of the village close to the river. Your walking pack awaits you in the hotel. Dinner and overnight.
Day 2:
A gentle walk of about six miles across country to the neighbouring village of Coln St. Alwyns, with its excellent pub and then a charming return walk alongside the pretty River Coln. Overnight and dinner.
Day 3:
Departure day but first, today's walk takes you to another gorgeous hamlet, Ablington, and then through a quiet valley homewards, with the option of extending the walk to another lovely village, Coln St. Rogers, with its fascinating Saxon church.
